Introduction
Welcome to Trashly. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website, mobile applications, and trash pickup coordination services. By creating an account or scheduling a pickup, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
What Trashly Does
Trashly is a scheduling and coordination platform that connects short-term rental hosts with independent, licensed waste pickup providers. Pickups can be scheduled automatically based on your connected booking calendar, requested on demand through the app, or scheduled for a future date. Trashly coordinates the service; physical collection and disposal are performed by independent pickup partners.
Accounts and Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract to use Trashly. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure, for the accuracy of the property information you provide (including addresses and access instructions), and for all activity under your account.
Calendar Sync
If you connect a booking calendar (such as an Airbnb, Vrbo, or other iCal feed), you authorize Trashly to read that calendar to detect guest checkouts and schedule pickups accordingly. Calendar platforms refresh their feeds on their own schedules, and Trashly is not responsible for pickups missed due to delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate calendar data. On-demand pickups remain available as a backup at any time.
Subscriptions and Billing
Trashly is offered on a monthly subscription basis, with plan details and pricing listed on our pricing page. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. On-demand or expedited pickups outside your plan may carry additional per-pickup fees, which are shown in the app before you confirm the request. You can cancel your subscription at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period. Fees for services already performed are non-refundable except where required by law.
Reasonable Use
Plans that include scheduled or on-demand pickups are intended for ordinary waste volumes generated by short-term rental turnovers at the subscribed property. Each pickup covers standard bagged household waste from a single turnover; unusually large volumes, bulk items, or waste unrelated to the subscribed property may require an additional pickup or fee, shown to you before you confirm. Trashly may review accounts with usage substantially exceeding typical turnover volumes and may require an updated plan, apply per-pickup fees with notice, or decline service for waste unrelated to the subscribed property.
Preparing for Pickups
You agree to place waste in secured bags or bins at the agreed pickup location, accessible without entering a locked or occupied dwelling, by the scheduled pickup window. Pickup partners are not required to enter homes, retrieve waste from inaccessible locations, or wait for access. If waste is not accessible at the scheduled time, the pickup may be marked as attempted and plan or fee terms may still apply.
Prohibited Materials
Trashly handles routine household and rental-turnover waste only. You agree not to include hazardous materials (including chemicals, paint, batteries, fuels, and medical waste), construction debris, appliances, furniture, weapons, or any material that is illegal to dispose of in ordinary waste streams. Pickup partners may refuse any pickup containing prohibited materials, and you are responsible for any resulting costs, fines, or damages.
Photo Documentation
Pickup partners photograph completed pickups (for example, the cleared pickup area) as proof of service. These photos are limited to the pickup location, are used for service verification and quality purposes, and are available to you in your account.
Independent Pickup Partners
Pickups are performed by independent, licensed waste haulers using their own vehicles and equipment. Pickup partners are not employees or agents of Trashly. While we vet partners and monitor service quality, Trashly’s responsibility is limited to the coordination of services as described in these terms.
Service Availability
Service is currently available in select cities, and pickup windows, coverage areas, and availability may change. We strive for reliable, on-time service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability, including during severe weather, road closures, or other conditions outside our control. Where a scheduled pickup cannot be completed, we will reschedule it or credit you consistent with your plan terms.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Trashly’s total liability arising out of or related to the services in any billing period is limited to the amount you paid Trashly for that period. Trashly is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost bookings, guest reviews, or platform penalties. Claims relating to property damage during a pickup must be reported within 72 hours of the pickup so they can be investigated with the pickup partner.
User Content
If you submit feedback, photos, or other content to Trashly, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use it to operate and improve our services, consistent with our Privacy Policy.
Intellectual Property
All content, software, and branding related to Trashly is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify any part of the service without permission.
Termination
You may close your account at any time. Trashly may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse pickup partners, repeatedly include prohibited materials, or fail to pay fees when due.
Modification of Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email before they take effect. Continued use of the services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the District of Columbia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the District of Columbia.
