Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly: your name, email address, phone number, property addresses, access instructions for pickup locations, and payment details (processed by our payment provider; Trashly does not store full card numbers). We also collect information generated through use of the service, such as pickup requests, service history, and support messages.
Calendar Data
If you connect a booking calendar, we access the calendar feed you provide to detect check-in and checkout dates so we can schedule pickups. We use this data only to operate scheduling features. We do not access guest names or booking details beyond what your calendar feed contains, and we do not share your calendar data with third parties except as needed to deliver the service.
Pickup Photos
Pickup partners photograph completed pickups as proof of service. These photos are limited to the pickup area, are stored with your service history, and are used for verification, quality assurance, and resolving service questions. They are visible to you in your account and to Trashly for support purposes.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to schedule and coordinate pickups, process payments, communicate with you about your service (confirmations, driver updates, and support), improve our services, and comply with legal obligations. With your consent, we may also send you marketing communications, which you can opt out of at any time.
Text Messages
If you opt in to text notifications, we send service messages such as pickup confirmations and driver updates. Message frequency varies with your pickup activity; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe from texts at any time.
How We Share Information
We share the minimum information needed to deliver the service: pickup partners receive the property address, access instructions, and pickup details for jobs assigned to them, but not your payment information. We also share information with service providers who support our operations (such as payment processing, routing, and communications), under agreements that limit their use of your data. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of Trashly, our users, or others.
Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide services, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Pickup photos and service records are retained with your account history. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal information at any time.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data and will notify you of any breach as required by law.
Your Choices and Rights
You can access and update your account information in the app, opt out of marketing messages, and request a copy or deletion of your personal information by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws, and we will honor valid requests as required.
